| One story for BD7 (or was it BD6) because the artist did not ink the artwork and the pencil work was such that it would not reproduce well. So please make sure your work, especially the text, will be legible when reduced to the size of the book. |

What a great idea to ask people to post their progress update!!
It'll encourage people to get back on track if they've slipped!
As for myself, I've got the layout down(ish), and will have pencils completed by the end of this weekend!
All that will be left is: finalizing the look, inking, and minimal toning!

Would anyone happen to have a sample template for a submission page?
I know we have specs for size and dpi, but does anyone know the SAFE ZONE vs BLEED ZONE measurements, etc...?

BAAU Down doesn't have bleeds (it adds to cost). Thus everything is in the Safe Zone.
Template File
(why didn't I think of this earlier?)
BAAU standard operating procedure for BD9:
book pages are 5.5" wide x 8.5" high.
Margins:
Top and bottom: 1/2" (these are bigger to allow for page numbers)
Left and right: 1/4"
Usable area: 5" wide x 7.5" high
You can use the following 5x7.5 files below as "blank pages" to paste your artwork onto. Fit the art to the edge of the image, margins will be added during the layout process.
Grayscale 300 DPI:
1500 x 2250

Black and white monochrome 600 DPI:

Thank you so much for supplying these template pages. I understand now that bleed will not be an option, so I'll be sure to fill in the space outlined.
