Hey folks, here's a joint meet / comics workshop with APAture, the Kearny Street Workshop's annual arts festival.
- A Twu and Bucoy
APAture/BAAU Eat-up Meetup in San Francisco
APAture is hosting a meetup for BAAU on Saturday, July 18 in San Francisco. Like any meetup, it's a chance to hang out and draw, but we'd like to feed you, too -- it's an eat-up meetup!
What's the catch? We'd like to introduce you to APAture 2009, the 11th annual edition of the premier Asian American emerging arts festival in the Bay Area, and invite folks to participate in our Comics and Crafts event on September 26. Not too formal, and no pressure, but we would love to have folks come and think about new projects they might be cooking up for the Fall, in time for our show and for APE!
About APAture: http://www.apature.org
Suggestions about food welcome (pizza is the default right now!) ^_^
Saturday, July 18, 2009-- open house from 12:30 to 4pm
Call Chris at 415-260-3879 (or PM bucoy on the forums) for more info
APAture lives at PariSOMA:

Not really, sure. More than anything I just wanted to freak everyone out. Heh heh. But they could be striking by the time of the event. It could also be resolved by then. |

Raw beef and boiling water! Danger in two ways!
But really, open to suggestions that are less perilous! |

What are you talking about? You Jewish or something? Pho tastes good, beef tastes good, tripe tastes good. Sewer rat might taste like pumpkin pie, but I'll never know cause I'll never eat the filthy mother.
Why have an immune system if you're not gonna use it. |

| Hey yo, so is everyone going to this or what? I missed the Karaoke night and I feel real bad about that, but I'd like to make up by hanging at this one. I don't see a lot of responses. But I'd sure like to go hang. What's the itinerary gonna be like? The usual meet and greet? |

I'll try to make this one, but not sure yet.

Rainbow-
This workshop is just a small part of numerous events leading up to the APAture visual and performing arts festival, which takes place September 17-26. Part of the festival will be a comics expo, kind of a mini-convention. The idea behind Saturday's workshop is to kick off, or get feedback on, various projects individual baaufolk have for the comics expo.
hope that clears things up |
